LUSHAN LU AND THE TORONTO POLICE.

AN UPDATE, TO THE LUSHAN JUNJIAN LU'S STORY, THAT IS POSTED ON THIS BLOG. AND WHY THERE IS NO PUBLIC RECORDS, STILL, OF ANY PROSECUTION, AGAINST HIM.

"I ASSURE YOU, THAT THERE IS A PROSECUTION, AGAINST HIM, BUT THERE IS NO SUMMONS, ISSUED YET".  ON QUESTIONS, AS TO WHY THERE ARE NO PUBLIC RECORDS, ON THE GOVERNMENT'S WEBSITE, OR WITH THE COURTS, SO FAR, ABOUT ANY OF THE PROPERTIES, OR ABOUT THE PROPERTY OWNER, LUSHAN LU'S VIOLATIONS.

I was recently contacted by a legal representative, of the man who is the subject of my article, Lushan Junjian Lu, telling me to remove the article, or face a libel suit.  Well I did no such thing, knowing that the information, that I have also posted here on my blog, is as accurate, as can be.  Still I wanted to know why there has also not been, any more public record, of the prosecution of his client?. As it should also have been in this case, which has also resulted in the article, about him.

So I contacted the Toronto office, of Municipal Licensing Standards, who is the government agency, which has also brought those charges against him, supposedly, as to why there were no information, posted on their public website, or any other places, about any violations, against Lushan Lu, regarding his properties, or about him.  And that was also commenced, by that government agency.

I certainly wanted to know myself, because I also sensed a cover-up, and I was also being contacted, by this man's lawyer, telling me that the article was also damaging, to his client.  Well that's too bad, because his client, has not exactly been doing things, within the law, and worst, his relationship with the Toronto police, has also made the public asked, if there was also a conflict of interest, because of that fact. Lushan Junjian Lu, was also busted, for operating an illegal rooming house, back in 2008. Turning his home into a 18 bedroom rental property, illegally. To which he was also charge and fined about $5,000.00 for the Municipal Code, infraction. 

For instance, did the police in the area, know of his actions in renting out his properties, as illegal hotels and rooming houses? All violations under the law for that location, based on the zoning bylaws, and other statues, under the Act?. Evidence also shows that they did. Evidence has also come out against Lushan Lu, directly, that he has for years been operating his properties, against the city's zoning bylaws and also without a license, or a legal permit.  So essentially, the police has turned a blind eye, to this man's activities, as an owner of many properties, in the area and in fact throughout the entire city of Toronto and its surrounding areas,(the GTA), that has also now come under investiagtion, and for which he is also now facing charges for, by the Municipal Licensing Standards. Which has also not done the usual things either, in this case and making the public believe even more so, that there is a cover-up.

I contacted the Municipal Licensing Standards office, to verify the information, that I also already had, about Lushan Junjian Lu, regarding their investigation and prosecution of him, for violations under the Act.  My call was returned, the next day, on June 20, 2013, by Joe Luzi, who is in charged of the investigation unit, with that agency and he was also clear to mention to me, that the owner of those properties, Lushan Junjian Lu,
was currently facing prosecution.  When he was asked, why there were also no public records, so far, on the Municipal Licensing Standards website, or with the courts, about any of the charges, or of the properties, by the owner, that are also under investigation, or about the owner himself, that was his response.

He has claimed that another department is in charged, of making sure that the information, on the government website is also updated, so that the public can accessed that information directly. Of course legally, he also cannot discuss the case, other than to confirmed when asked , about the information that already existed, so that was the end of the conversation, with him. Next I also contacted the Executive Director, Tracy Cook's office, to follow up on that information.  They were also not aware that the information, was not already on their website, as is also the usual practice, once they have also issued any notices, or orders, to a property owner, for any violations. 

I expect that this "oversight" will also be corrected, by that government agency soon, so that the public can also access it and so that I will also not be contacted, by people asking me to provide any proofs, on the article, that I have also written, on the man Lushan Lu, who is at the center of all of this.   As for his involvement with the Toronto police, he has also been named as a defendant, in a conspiracy case, involving the police.  More about that in another article.
