WHAT A WELCOME! SYRIAN REFUGEES WERE PEPPER SPRAYED, UPON ARRIVAL TO CANADA!. THE INCIDENT HAS HAPPENED ON JANUARY 9, 2016, IN VANCOUVER, CANADA.
Few Syrian refugees
has arrived in Canada, as Canada has failed to meet the 10,000 numbers of Syrian refugees,
by its own deadline of Dec 31/15.
Syrian refugees were also pepper sprayed, upon arrival in Canada. The incident has happened, on January 9,1016, as a party was underway at a mosque, in Vancouver, Canada, for the refugees. And which also included, some newly arrived Syrian refugees to Canada. Understandably, the refugees were shocked and also disappointed at this kind welcome. The Canadian police, has also considered the incident, a hate crime.
The Federal government, has also called the goal of 10,000 Syrian refugees to Canada, "unrealistic". And the Canadian Immigration Minister, John McCallum, has come out and say that basically, it was not a promise of Canada, that was also written in stone. As of this date, less than a third of the refugees has been processed and even fewer than that number, has actually arrived in Canada. Canada has also taken a peculiar stand, in regards to Syrian refugee men, who are also single and straight. They are not being accepted into Canada, but some gay refugees who are men, are being accepted. If the threat is supposed to be from the Syrian men, in general, then why accept some and not others?. And in my opinion, since when should any refugees, also be considered a threat, to a country, that they are also seeking refuge from?. Canada has gotten it all backwards.
