THE CORRUPTION OF THE TORONTO FIRE SERVICES, THAT ALSO ENDANGERS LIVES.

THE CURRENT CITY OF TORONTO FIRE CHIEF, MATT PEGG AND DEPUTY FIRE CHIEF, JIM JESSOP,  IS PROTECTING THE OWNER, OF AN ILLEGAL ROOMING HOUSE, WITH TOO MANY TENANTS. INCLUDING, ONE OF THE TENANTS, LIVING IN THE FURNACE ROOM, AND POSING A DANGER, TO HIMSELF AND OTHERS, IN THE BUILDING.

Surprisingly, the Toronto Fire Services, after inspecting the illegal rooming house on January 14, 2019, did not refer the matter to the Electrical Safety Authority, which is the usual practice. Neither was the property owner charged, in this case. But most unusual and surprising in this case, are the lies told by those in the Toronto Fire services, on behalf of this landlord, including the dangerous lie about the tenant, who is still living in the furnace room/utility room, as of this date, that he is not living there. Despite the mountain of evidence to prove this false report by all of Toronto Fire Services personnel involved. From the inspectors, Ashleigh Brown and Bryan Lam, and their District Chief, Jim Silverthorn, to the Deputy Fire Chief Jim Jessop and the Fire Chief, himself, Matt Pegg.

THE PROPERTY OWNER, OF THREE ILLEGAL ROOMING HOUSES, ANGELA STERLING, KNOW HOW TO BUY OFF, LOCAL TORONTO CITY OFFICIALS, TO BYPASS HER ILLEGAL RENTAL BUILDINGS, WHERE SHE HAS TENANTS LIVING IN THE KITCHEN AND FURNACE ROOMS, IN ONE SUCH ROOMING HOUSE, THAT ALSO HAS EIGHT TENANTS. SHE ALSO BRAGGED THAT SHE DRIVES A JAGUAR, AFTER BEING ALLOWED, TO ILLEGALLY CONTINUE TO RENT OUT HER ROOMING HOUSES, WITHOUT FACING ANY CHARGES, OR HAVING THEM SHUT DOWN, BY TORONTO CITY OFFICIALS. THOSE IN THE T.O FIRE SERVICES, BUILDING DIVISION AND MUNICIPAL LICENSING STANDARDS. 


HOW A TORONTO FIRE SERVICES, DISTRICT CHIEF, JIM SILVERTHORN, IGNORED THE REPORT, OF AN ILLEGALLY OPERATED ROOMING HOUSE, WITH FIRE CODE VIOLATIONS, AND HAS REMAINED SILENT ABOUT IT. MOREOVER, THE OWNER OF THE ROOMING HOUSE, ANGELA STERLING, WHICH IS ALSO LOCATED IN SCARBOROUGH, HAS MADE THE SHOCKING REVELATION, THAT HER PROPERTY HAS ALSO BEEN INSPECTED YEARLY, BY THE TORONTO FIRE SERVICES AND GIVEN A PASS!!!
AND THAT THIS WAS ALLL DONE, UNDER JIM SILVERTHORN'S EAST COMMAND, JURISDICTION.  HOW CORRUPT CAN YOU GET?.


LANDLORD OF ILLEGAL ROOMING HOUSE, UNDER TORONTO DISTRICT FIRE CHIEF, JIM SILVERTHORN, MADE A SHOCKING REVELATION!!!
"The fire services inspect my property (rental building) every year!". How did they miss the fact that it was an illegal rooming house?.  Did she pay off the Toronto Fire Services, to "look the other way?".
After the police was called to the rooming house on the weekend (not unusual for a rooming house) and also noted that it was in fact an illegal rooming house, the owner of the property, Angela Sterling, then later informed the tenants, that the fire services were coming to inspect the property on December 11th, between 10.00 a.m and 11: a.m. The fire services did not show up and cancelled the appointment, she later told the residents. But no worries, she will also informed them when they would be coming back to do the so called inspection.  She then mentioned, that the Toronto Fire Services, also (allegedly), inspected her rental house every year and once  per year. Now this is also hard to be believed, but believe it. This is what corruption looks like when dealing with the City of Toronto officials.
Often when the police is investigating a crime, or alleged crime and they so happen to come upon another illegal activity at the same location, as in this case, where the property is in fact being illegally operated. They would (usually) do one of two things. Either investigate the matter themselves, if it falls under their jurisdiction to do so (under the Criminal Code, or even under the Provincial Offences Act), or refer the matter to the appropriate authorities to investigate further, if it is outside of their scope to deal with. (They like to focus on criminal matters only and leave the lesser offences under the Provincial Offences Act and the Municipal Code Act, to other local authorities to deal with). This is the case with this rooming house. It is an offence which falls under the Provincial offences Act and also the Municipal Codes and not necessarily the Criminal Code. Landlords (usually) get a fine and a whole lot of other troubles for breaking the Municipal bylaws, regarding their illegal properties.

Another dishonest landlord, who knows how to buy off corrupt Toronto city officials, in order to get away with her illegal activities. And has been successful at this for more than 30 years!.

Now this is all done under the very corrupt Fire Chief, Matt Pegg and Deputy Fire Chief, Jim Jessop, as well as the District Fire Chief, Jim Silverthorn and his inspectors at the East Command location. As well as with the full knowledge and consent of the Toronto Fire Chief, Matt Pegg and Deputy Fire Chief, Jim Jessop. A crooked landlord who has escaped any fire code violations, after operating her illegal rooming houses, for over 30 years!!!. What a record?.

No thanks to the current, Toronto Fire Chief, Matt Pegg, Deputy Fire Chief, Jim Jessop, District Chief, Jim Silverthorn. Also Karim Gilani, James Slocum, Kate Novia, and Muhammad Qamar, from ML& and Building Division. You all are doing just the things that has least reassured that you are fit to carry out your public duty. Including your personal corruption). Your lies to the public, telling them that they are safe (when they are not), with the Toronto Fire Services, and with the Building Division and also MLS, now put your actions, under public scrutiny.

My goal is not to try to halt this corruption, that is so prevalent among local and other government officials in Canada. MY JOB IS TO EXPOSED IT.  And this public shaming will also caused a lot of discomfort to those who are involved, in this practice. And also those (very same individuals) who are also trying to destroy me personally, through this means.

CORRUPTION: HOW T.O FIRE CHIEF, MATT PEGG, ENDANGERS PUBLIC SAFETY AND THE CONFLICT OF INTEREST, WITH OWNER OF ILLEGAL ROOMING HOUSE.

THE TORONTO FIRE SERVICES HAS NO OVERSIGHT AND CONTINUE TO ENDANGER PUBLIC SAFETY, AS WELL AS FRAUDULENT ACTIONS, BY FIRE INSPECTORS, FIRE CAPTAINS AND EVEN THE DEPUTY FIRE CHIEF AND THE FIRE CHIEF.

IF THE T.O. FIRE SERVICES IS NOT DOING WHAT IT IS SUPPOSED TO, WHEN IT COMES TO SAFETY AND THE  SERVICES, THAT IT IS TO PROVIDE TO THE PUBLIC, THEN IT SHOULD BE AUDITED.

TORONTONIANS NEED TO STOP THINKING, THAT THEIR FIRE CHIEF IS ABOVE REPROACH AND START DEMANDING, THAT HE ANSWER TO THE PUBLIC, OVER HIS ACTIONS.  DON'T THINK IT COULD NOT HAPPEN HERE, BECAUSE IT ALREADY HAS. NO EXPLANATION HAS BEEN GIVEN, AS TO WHY THE TORONTO FIRE CHIEF, MATT PEGG, HAS NOT LAID ANY CHARGES, AGAINST OWNER OF THE ILLEGAL ROOMING, WITH THE TENANT STILL LIVING IN THE FURNACE ROOM. (This writer spoke with a manager, from the Electrical Safety Authority, who inspected the illegal rooming house, last week and confirmed that he did see signs of the renter, living in the furnace room, after inspecting it and the rest of building and then issuing a notice of violation to the owner). The manager came out and admitted, about the tenant, "Yes, he is living in the furnace room" after having met the tenant directly during the inspection. And then promised to get the T.O. Fire Services to do its job and removed the tenant. The same tenant is also accused by other tenants, of disrupting the power in the building, by interfering with the electrical system and the utility box, also located in the furnace room.  Yet, Matt Pegg and his bunch of corrupt fire personnel, still will not budge. The reason?. A conflict of interest with the home owner and putting the safety of the public first, is also not a  priority with him.


IN MY OPINION, MATT PEGG, THE CURRENT FIRE CHIEF, FOR THE CITY OF TORONTO IS CORRUPT. AND HE SHOULD BE FACING CHARGES, FOR ENDANGERING, PUBLIC SAFETY AND FOR ACTING CORRUPT.












People tend to roll their eyes in disbelief, when you begin to talk about corruption, involving those in government. Those who are legally mandated to enforce the law. Whether that is the Municipal Code, and its bylaws, or more serious statues, such as the Ontario Fire Code and the Fire Protection and Prevention Act, there are some serious breaches, on the part of those who are supposed to protect the public. The worst case scenario is if a Fire Chief, is caught acting corruptly. And what that also means for public safety. As for the Toronto Fire Chief and his corrupt inspectors and fire captains, I have also heard (on the word of an authority), that the Auditor General, Beverly Romeo-Beehler, has gotten hold of this information, about those in the local divisions, including, the Toronto Fire Services and may just initiate an investigation, into their wasteful spending and other fraudulent practices. Keep your fingers crossed because that office is also corrupt. And when I asked someone in the City Clerk's Office, (on behalf of the public), how one can go about initiating a public inquiry, I was told that there is no such option, other than the city's Ombudsman. And that office for reasons of clarity, is also a dead end. The most promising investigation of corruption, by local city officials, is if the Auditor General, conducts one, because if it is done properly it could lay to criminal charges, against those city officials involved. But it most likely will not, in this case. Above all else, Toronto wants to protect its image and flinging damaging charges against its Fire Chief and others, in their eyes do not look good. But it has also happened before, in other Canadian cities, that is. So why not Toronto as well?.


A simple Google search will show you that the Toronto Fire Chief, Matt Pegg, has a lot of company among other Fire Chiefs, and other fire personnel, who has also acted corruptly. The real problem is that the entire local government, within the City of Toronto, is corrupt. We see those individuals moving from one division to the other and taking their corrupt practices with them. No better example than Tracy Cook, former Executive Director of MLS, who is now the Deputy City Manager, for the City of Toronto. Making her in charge of all of those city divisions below her office, such as Municipal Licensing Standards, Toronto Fire Services, Building Division and others.

THE ELECTRICAL SAFETY AUTHORITY, ISSUED NOTICE OF VIOLATION, AGAINST LANDLORD OF ROOMING HOUSE.

SHE DID NOT SEE THIS ONE COMING AND HAVE HAD NO TIME TO INFORM, THE OTHER CONSPIRATORS, IN THE PLOT TO BYPASS HER ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES AND TO COVER UP FOR HER ACTIONS, WHILE SHE CONTINUES TO OPERATE HER ILLEGAL ROOMING HOUSE. THAT THE T.O. FIRE SERVICES, THE MUNICIPAL LICENSING STANDARDS AND THE BUILDING DIVISION, ARE SERIOUS ABOUT PROTECTING HER, IS ALSO QUITE OBVIOUS, DUE TO THE LENGTH THAT THEY HAVE ALL GONE, TO DO SO. AND AT THE EXPENSE OF THE PUBLIC.

What the Electrical Safety Authority, has noticed upon an inspection, is the extent of the danger that is posed to the tenants of the illegal rooming house, due to the faulty electrical system and mainly due to the number of people who are using it. It requires a massive overhaul on the part of the landlord, in order to fix the defects. I have been told directly, by the ESA, that the owner of the property will be
given the required 30-45 days to fix the problem.

It turned out that the Electrical Safety Authority was also able to view the furnace room and the condition that it was in, due to the tenant living there. However, the ESA mentioned that they had no authority, to removed anyone living in the furnace room, because that was the duty of the Toronto Fire Services. We continue to see the Toronto Fire Services acting corrupt, in regards to this investigation and to allow the landlord to have her tenant, continuing to occupy the furnace room, as a living space. And the Toronto Fire Services continues to lie on her behalf, despite the physical evidence, which shows clearly that the space is being occupied currently. Now we also have the evidence of other witnesses, beside the tenants living there.
If this has not caused you to be concerned as yet, then you are sleeping and need to be awakened to the present danger that the Toronto Fire Services, is subjecting members of the public to, by taking no actions in this case. First it is the legal duty of the T.O. Fire Services to act, in regards to this concern. That it refused to do so, shows also the level of the corruption involved.

As a writer it is my duty to educate the public on this matter. How you want to disseminate this information, is up to you. I would start (if I were you) by contacting the Toronto Fire Chief, Matt Peg and demand that he take the appropriate actions, to ensure the safety of the tenants and the public. There is a wall of silence on his part, as he continues to allow this scenario to play out. As if by keeping silent, it will also prevent him from being implicated in this, or to exonerate him in some way, from his legal duty. I am confident that with my evidence and the evidence of other witnesses, those who are currently involved in this crime, will be brought to justice. And part of that justice should be that they should lose their current job titles. The bigotry that I have also seen from
them, since I started reporting this to the public, makes it also evident that dealing with corruption
by public officials, is a much harder crime to deal with, than most people can imagine.

Ontario is far behind the province of Quebec, where over the years we have seen high level officials, either being charged outright, or being implicated in corruption, in how they operate the services that they are to provide for the benefit of the public. From the Mayor of Montreal, (Michael Applebaum,) all the way down the list. First, Quebec and the city of Montreal, has an anti corruption system in place, where as Toronto has none. Ontario has a quasi system in place and what you will find is that the provincial government, will not interfere with the local municipal government (and I am told, directly, that it cannot do so legally), and how it runs things. This leave local city officials to do as they please and with no fear of any repercussions, regarding their actions. So it is left to the residents of Toronto, to find other ways of dealing with their corruption.  It is a known fact that I have charged
such city officials in the past, for just that. And in this case as well, I have also initiated criminal charges, against those who are the focus of this report. And with more charges pending against them, as the investigation moves along. I consider this phase as my "gathering evidence" phase. I intend to have sufficient proof against them, in order to move the case through the court, till I see that they are convicted. Being a witness also helps too, and it will all boil down to who the court believe the most. Based on the evidence, of course.

Some persons believe that it is audacious of me to go after the Toronto Fire Chief. No, it is audacious of him, to think that he can act in any manner that would endanger public safety, while occupying his current position and that he can get away with doing that. He and others involved in this investigation also acted presumptuously, in thinking that the law do not apply to them, as it does with everyone else. Last time that I checked, no one is above the law. The Toronto Fire Chief, Matt Pegg has not been charged, formally, by me as yet. But since I have had some interactions with his staff, with my queries, involving the Fire Chief's role, regarding that investigation, more than a month ago, I feel that he is more than well aware of those concerns. It all boils down to what he did, or didn't do about it, as far as his legal duty and his obligation to protect lives from the dangers of a fire, and also acting in the interest of the public while doing so. Not, as the evidence suggested, circumventing an investigation, in order to bypass his duty, to protect the safety of the tenants of that building, while he had the chance to do so. 

I can tell you that as I write this article, they are all plotting to take me down. That is how corruption also works. And Canada is no exception. Am I concerned?. No, not really. Although I did read last week how some journalist was shot to death, for exposing a corruption scandal. I don't believe that I will be shot, (although anything is possible, when the corrupt police are also behind those plots to take you down. It has been their practice for years). But I do believe, like most other writers reporting the news to the public, is that they will try to find some other ways to silence me. My longing for a peaceful existence, sometimes seem out of reach, due to the attacks that I am put through, due to covert means from them.  I think that their biggest concern about me is my knowledge of the law and my professionalism in what I do, as far as my role in the media. I am reporting the truth as far as I know it to be. And just for doing that, I am protected under Canadian law. Uh? let me correct that statement. I should be protected enough under Canadian law, but if that was the actual case, do you think that I would have so much to say on my Blog?. The whole purpose of this blog, it to bring attention to those things that do not work (really well), in this society. Most of the time things operate backwards, such as when those in law enforcement, are actually the ones who are breaking the law. This is also a reality for me, when it comes down to reporting on some of them. not only do they know, that I know that they are involved in illicit activities, it is also a habit of theirs to flaunt it in my face. As in, "What can you do about it?". Well, here on my Blog, I have just done something about it.

TORONTO FIRE SERVICES CORRUPTION: TENANT ALLOWED TO LIVE IN THE FURNACE...



THE TORONTO FIRE SERVICES, CONTINUES, TO ALLOW THIS TENANT, TO REMAIN LIVING IN A FURNACE ROOM/LAUNDRY ROOM, AFTER INVESTIGATING, AN ILLEGAL ROOMING HOUSE.

THE TORONTO FIRE SERVICES, ALSO IGNORED STANDARD PROCEDURE AND DID NOT INFORMED, THE ELECTRICAL SAFETY AUTHORITY, CONCERNING THE ROOMING HOUSE, WHICH HAS EIGHT TENANTS. NO CHARGES WERE ALSO LAID AGAINST THE OWNER, AND NO ATTEMPTS MADE TO ENFORCED THE FIRE CODE AND TO EVICT THE TENANT, WHO IS ALSO, CURRENTLY, LIVING IN THE FURNACE ROOM. ONE FIRE INSPECTOR, ASHLEIGH BROWN, HAS BEEN CHARGED OVER THIS INVESSTIGATION. SHOCKINGLY, THIS INVESTIGATION AND THE ACTIONS TAKEN, WERE ALSO APPROVED BY THE CURRENT FIRE CHIEF, MATT PEG AND THE DISTRICT FIRE CHIEF, JIM JESSOP!


THE MAN STANDING IN THE DOORWAY OF A FURNACE ROOM, IN THIS ILLEGAL ROOMING HOUSE
HAS BEEN ENJOYING HIS "LIVING SPACE", THANKS TO THE CORRUPTION, OF THE T.O. FIRE SERVICES. IN THE BACKGROUND, COULD BE HEARD HIS MUSIC AND TELEVISION PLAYING, AND HE ALSO WAS COMFORTABLY ATTIRED, ALBEIT HIS CLOTHES APPEARED INSIDE OUT.

DID YOU NOTICED, WHAT LOOKED LIKE A COOKING POT, OR SAUCEPAN, ON THE TENANT'S FLOOR?. OR WAS THAT A HOTPLATE?. WHAT THE HELL IS SUCH A FIRE HAZARD DOING IN A FURNACE ROOM/LAUNDRY ROOM?.  THIS MAN IS ALSO ACCUSED, OF (ALLEGEDLY) INTERFERING, WITH THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, SUCH AS TURNING OFF THE BREAKERS, BECAUSE OF HIS PROXIMITY TO IT. AND LEAVING SOME OF THE TENANTS WITHOUT POWER, ACCORDING TO EYEWITNESS REPORTS.  


THIS VIDEO WAS TAKEN JUST A FEW DAYS AGO, AND AFTER THE "OFFICIAL REPORT", OF T.O. FIRE SERVICES INSPECTORS, (AND ALSO THE FIRE CHIEF, MATT PEGG AND THE DEPUTY FIRE CHIEF, JIM JESSOP), THAT THEY SAW,  "NO EVIDENCE OF ANYONE LIVING IN THE FURNACE ROOM/LAUNDRY ROOM". AND CONTRARY TO THIS VIDEO AND EVEN EYEWITNESS TESTIMONY, AVAILABLE.
When I went to the court, to charge the Toronto Fire Services inspector, Ashleigh Brown, in regards to her investigation of this rooming house, even the Justice of the Peace, agreed that no one should be living in a furnace room.  This is just one of the videos that I plan to use in the criminal court, against her and other city officials who has conspired, to continue to endanger public safety, and to let this tenant remain living in a furnace room, endangering both himself and other tenants, of the building.  This tenant is also seen on a daily basis, interacting with other tenants of the building and it is also an "open secret' among those tenants of the rooming house, that he has been residing, in the furnace room/laundry room, as a living space.

A DISTURBING REVELATION, INVOLVING THE CORRUPT ACTIONS OF THESE CITY DIVISIONS.

HOW ONE LANDLORD, WAS ABLE TO AVOID FACING CHARGES, OVER HER ILLEGAL ROOMING HOUSE, BY CORRUPT CITY OF TORONTO OFFICIALS, IN THE T.O. FIRE SERVICES, MUNICIPAL LICENSING STANDARDS AND BUILDING DIVISION. WHO ALL ACTED IN THE CONSPIRACY, TO ALLOW HER TO CONTINUE TO OPERATE HER PROPERTY, ILLEGALLY, AND CONTRARY TO CURRENT BYLAWS.
The implications to the public is also staggering, concerning those individuals actions. And especially those in the Toronto Fire Services. Not only are they dragging their feet, when it comes to laying any kind of charges against this landlord, for the numerous violations under the Ontario fire Code, including a lack of carbon monoxide detector in the basement apartment, initially, and having rented out areas of the house that she shouldn't have done,

Not only did they not lay any charges against this landlord, but those involved in the investigation of her property, also stood by and knowingly allowed her to continue to operate her property as an illegal rooming house, without either shutting it down immediately, or  giving her the usual 60 days notice to shut down the rooming house. Nor have they also indicated, that they might be shutting it down anytime soon. Instead of the Toronto Fire Services advising her to  put in a fire separation door immediately, or as soon as possible, to minimized the danger to the tenants, from a fire breaking out in the building, they instead told her to only "adjust the door", allowing for it to close on its own. This door of course is not the one that she is required under the law to install, with the proper thickness to withstand any heat from a fire. This is a just a regular door that leads to the basement apartment. This landlord has yet to install the proper fire separation doors, one on each floor of the building. Toronto Fire Services also conveniently, forgot to enforced the fire code against this landlord, for constructing a room off of the kitchen and renting it out to one of her tenants, who must also enter and exit from his room, through the kitchen. Because the room was also not a part of the original design of the house, this tenant also has one section of his wall constructed with a double glass doors, acting in place of an actual wall, by the owner of the building. Perhaps the most disturbing of all the illegal activities of those involved, is to allow the landlord, to continue to use her furnace room/laundry room, as a rental unit. The Toronto Fire Services inspectors involved, went so far as to lie on her behalf and claiming that during their inspection of the furnace room, especially, that it contained no furniture as were seen by them and also no one living in that room. This of course is also directly contradictory, to other tenants of the building, who have witnessed the very tenant living there on a daily basis. The Municipal Licensing Standards, have also not charged this landlord, or issued any notices to her to stop operating her illegal property, anytime soon. Despite the fact that MLS has also noted on their website, that a notice of violation was also issued for that address. The actual fact is that no such notices were issued, indicating when this landlord was required to stop her illegal activities.  This would also explained why none of the tenants of the illegal rooming house, were given any notices by the landlord to move out by the date, which should have also been provided to her by the MLS notice of violation. The actual notice that was issued indicated that MLS "may" take actions against her, if she continues to operate the property against the zoning bylaw. And also that Municipal Licensing Standards "will continue to monitor her activities every 30 days, in regards to her operating her illegal rental property. Nothing was mentioned in the notice, by MLS, about when she must stop this activity. Unlike the notice that was posted on the MLS website, which gave an actual date of March 18, for this landlord to be in compliance with the zoning bylaw. So why the discrepancy, in the information posted on the MLS website and what actions (or lack of it), were taken by the MLS officer, Muhammad Qamar?. The answer is that Muhammad Qamar is required by the law, to carry out his legal duty over the rooming house. He pretended to be carrying out his duty by posting on the MLS website, what he "intends to do", concerning the violation, though in fact, he has actually not gotten around to actually carrying this out. And by all indications, he is in no hurry to do so. How contradictory this is to other landlords who were issued notices of violation on the spot and also charged with those offences, by MLS, T.O. Fire Services, and Building Division?. As for Building's role in all of this, the investigator in charged of enforcing the Building Code, Karim Gilani, in regards to that landlord's property, simply closed the file on that property, on the very day that he should have also investigate it and also noted her in violation of the Building Code, for altering the building without a permit. Why are city officials acting so contrary to their legal duties, concerning this landlord?. Could it be a "payback" of some kind to her, for allowing them to carry out their illegal activities, concerning one or more of her tenants?. I believe the answer is yes, to that question. I believe that by allowing the Toronto Fire Services and the Toronto Police, access to her property, in order to carry out their illegal surveillance and also to try to force the tenant out on the street, as part of their targeting. That is, to repeatedly force a tenant to become homeless, they have also decided to turn a blind eye, to her other illegal activities, concerning her property. And because she also continues to give them access, directly, to such a tenant, despite the fact that she is also violating their rights to privacy and other violations, under other statues, they have also paid her back for her "loyalty" to them, by ignoring the fact that she has broken the law and is in fact endangering her tenants, by her current activities. Including, having two of her tenants occupying spaces that are strictly forbidden under the Ontario Fire Code and the Building Code. Those involved in this conspiracy, to allow her to continue to rent out those spaces, as rental units, seem to have missed the section of the law, that state that "... no furnace room, kitchen, dining room, living room, stairways, closets... are to be used as sleeping areas".  Turning a dining room/living room, off of the kitchen as a sleeping area and a rental unit for one of her tenants and again using the furnace room/laundry room, for another of her tenants to live in, would indicate a violation of those statues.  

Most shocking of all in regards to this investigation, is the fact that those at the very top, in regards to the Toronto Fire Services, such as the Fire Chief, Matt Pegg and the Deputy Fire Chief, Jim Jessop, knows about the actions of this landlord, in endangering the safety of her tenants and also the public. And have allowed her to continue with her actions, despite the danger to the tenants, when they also refused to enforced the various fire codes against her. The Toronto Fire Services and those Inspectors, Fire Captains, District Chiefs, Deputy Fire Chief and even the Fire Chief himself, involved in this investigation, have acted very corruptly, by continuing to allow a crooked landlord to operate her property illegally and also in such a manner, as to create a fire hazard to her tenants and anyone else in close vicinity to her illegal rooming house. Do they have the right to endanger public safety, by allowing those two tenants to remain where they are living (one in the dining/living room off the kitchen and the other in the furnace room/laundry room) and currently, to continue to endanger themselves and others around them?. Should more criminal charges not be laid against all of those involved in this investigation?. From the Fire Chief, all the way down to the inspector who carried out the inspection?. No one is above the law, but be advised that should anyone bring them before a court for their actions, they would most likely not be held accountable for their actions.  That is just the way that corruption is practiced in Canada. At the local level and the higher levels of government.  When the public read this article concerning the actions of those city officials, let it be as a means of prompting them to take further actions on their own and to hold those corrupt Toronto city officials responsible, for endangering public safety. Rest assured that my reports in this article is also based on evidence, that I have also obtained about this investigation, which are credible enough to be used as evidence in a court of law.  None of this is made up.  And the implications to those involved, in regards to this investigation, is all the more serious, because those evidence against them, and despite their public protest, will also be able to convict them, of any wrongdoings in this case. I believe that because of the positions that they hold in regards to their job titles, that goes along with their public duty, they should also be held accountable, in the court of public opinion. After all, they were appointed to act in the public's best interest and not the other way around. So far only two of those city officials involved are facing criminal charges, over their actions.  And there are more charges to follow, I presumed, from the look of things. It is also sickening to observe that those who are in charge of saving lives, are the very ones who are also doing things to endanger it. Like those in the Toronto Fire Services, presently.

TORONTO FIRE INSPECTOR, ASHLEIGH BROWN, CHARGED WITH BREACH OF PUBLIC TRUST AND CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT AN INDICTABLE OFFENCE, CONCERNING THE INVESTIGATION, OF AN ILLEGAL ROOMING HOUSE, IN SCARBOROUGH.

INSPECTOR, WITH THE TORONTO BUILDING DIVISION.
WITH A BREACH OF PUBLIC TRUST AND CONSPIRACY
TO COMMIT AN INDICTABLE OFFENCE, IN THE
INVESTIGATION.

Toronto Fire Inspector, Ashleigh Brown, of the Scarborough
Division, was charged recently, through a private information,
that was laid against her on January 31st, for lying and covering up
for the owner of an illegal rooming house, in Scarborough. Brown is
accused, of actively participating in the cover-up, to allow the
landlord to continue, to carry on with her illegal activities
 and to endanger public safety. T.O. Fire Inspector, Ashleigh
Brown, allegedly, lied about evidence that she saw upon
inspecting the furnace room and other areas, of the illegal
rooming house, where it was also alleged, that the landlord was
renting it out as a furnished rental unit, to one of her tenants.
